SlothStuff LLP hey? Who are you?…First off let me introduce myself a little. Slothstuff was started in 2004 by Myself - Jamie Brandon and My close friend Matt Lindsay. We had known each other for many, many years, right back from school. We started playing paintball together, set up our first team together and played for a few teams together. When we left school, I went travelling and Matt went to university but we still stayed in touch. When we both returned, we realised we were both still in paintball; Matt had immersed himself in the technical side with his engineering degree, I had been focused on sales, customer service, and of course got more time to play! We sat down and talked a lot about what was right and wrong with commercial industry and decided we wanted to do something about it, so we did it and started Slothstuff LLP. After two years of us expanding the company, Matt eventually decided he had too many other projects burning holes in the side of his head that he could no longer commit himself fully to Slothstuff so at the end of 2006 he moved on, starting a string of web based companies. Although he's gone, the foundations of what we set up are still intact and Slothstuff is still run along the same principals to which it was born. Although Slothstuff is now run as a sole-trader company I still like to think of it as the child of a collective of people - myself, Matt, and a handful of Sponsored players and friends who have helped the company in so many different ways. They know who they are! At SlothStuff we aim to be a company like you have never seen before. Have you ever dreamed of being treated like a REAL customer? Do you hate the fact that you get treated like just another person, or mucked around because a company would rather make money than keep your business? Well we do; and that’s why we’re here. Let me fill you in a little… So what made you want to set up a company?… To me, there are some things in life you cannot get a way from. Dealing with companies is one of them and in general it is not good. I have always found dealing with companies a necessity, but not a pleasure and normally the bigger the company the worse it is. Ever tried dealing with a bank? Or a phone company? Or a TV provider? We have and we hate it and we reckon we can do better. We run the company exactly how we want to be treated as customers. We’re not always interested in making money, we honestly understand that your custom can be more important in the long run than making a profit on each order. We’re not in the business to loose money, but we do run by the belief that if we can make our customers one level higher than "happy" then you will keep coming back, and together we will build a PROPER company. And what are your plans for the future then?… Well Matt and I started in paintball because that’s what we know. We have lived and breathed paintball for almost 20 years together and loved it. That’s not to say however that we don’t have other plans. We share interests and passions in many other areas and we want to take the same business attitudes there. If people enjoy the way we do business then hopefully you will want to see it in other areas of your life: Partying? Gadgets? Supplements? You name it, if it’s cool and we like it then we want to add our touch to it. What are your key principles? We believe in lots of stuff, but what are we really passionate about? Well…
As paintball expands and changes, at Slothstuff we believe companies should expand and change to adapt to keep up. That is exactly what we intend to do, and we're not so vain as to think we have all the answers already! If you have any suggestions for the company, website, or you just want to vent some random ideas, revelations, or feel you just have to share the inspirational message you got in your fortune cookie last night, feel free to send it over to me on Jamie@slothstuff.com. You might just get something back… Please also see:Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
